1.1 Objective

Covid-19 has been widely affect USA and also the whole world in the past year. In March 2020, World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a pandemic around the world in over 110 countries. It is caused by severe respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2. Its data mostly categorized by confirmed cases, recovered cases, and number of deaths. I will create a visualization dashboard to show the statistics on Coronavirus disease 2019 (“Covid-19”) for USA and worldwide.

1.2 Data

The Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) dataset is in CSV format and is sourced from a upstream repository maintained by the Johns Hopkinds University Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) on Github which comes from a variety of public sources. The data can be found via this link.

I am planning to use R and Shiny web app to produce this dashboard. Table, plot, chart and map may be used in the dashboard.
