Machine learning can greatly elevate and uplift a business; however, when poorly managed and utlised, it can stunt a company’s progress and potential. The author uses a bakery analogy; businesses are hiring the experts to handle the wrong tasks. Most of the businesses will choose the fastest solution to solve their problems; however, machine learning solutions require extensive knowledge and understanding. There are multiple roles that need to be covered to ensure that the ML application runs smoothly such as data, applied ML, and quality engineers. What Do I Think?

I think the article illustrates the problem very well with an understandble analogy. It demonstrates that machine learning is not just a tool that can be implemented into any project or business; the right resources are needed to support the ML application. The ML engineers need to have a thorough understanding of the topic; additionally, the different facets/roles need to be covered such as someone to analyze the quality of the results (statistcian).
