Do Americans Support Removing Trump From Office?

Key Points This poll is stating whether or not Americans support removing Trump from the office. The poll shows the dates between January 6th of 2021, the day of the attack at the U.S. Capital, to January 20th of 2021, the day of Biden’s inauguration. Two polls were displayed in this site, one showed the percentages of respondents who supported and didn’t support Trump being removed from the office. The second poll went into more detail showing the support by party (Democrat, Republican, and Independent).

Data Source This source of data has been collected using yes or no questions towards the respondents whether they support Donald Trump leaving the office or not. The poll also offered “don’t know” or “no opinion” options as well. As mentioned before this poll is split into parties. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. There was also specific questions such as “Do you think President Trump should resign?” “Do you think President Trump should be removed from office?” “Do you approve or disapprove of the House of Representatives recent vote to impeach President Trump?” which is also considered as yes, no or don’t know questions.

From Data to Insight From my perspective, it seems that analysts were able to start the process of collecting data based on the amount of Republicans and Democrats that had either attended the U.S. Capital or Biden’s inauguration. Most of the supporters from Trump leaving the office most likely attended the inauguration while the non supporters had attended the attack at the U.S. Capital.

R Markdown

This is an R Markdown document. Markdown is a simple formatting syntax for authoring HTML, PDF, and MS Word documents. For more details on using R Markdown see http://rmarkdown.rstudio.com.

When you click the Knit button a document will be generated that includes both content as well as the output of any embedded R code chunks within the document. You can embed an R code chunk like this:

Including Plots

You can also embed plots, for example:

Note that the echo = FALSE parameter was added to the code chunk to prevent printing of the R code that generated the plot.
