Fun with R Markdown

1. Description of the data

I am using a preloaded dataset, women. It collects average weight and height of American women aged between 30-39.

2. Finding summary of the dataset

library(knitr)
kable(summary(women), caption="Summary of dataset 'women'")
Summary of dataset ‘women’
height weight
Min. :58.0 Min. :115.0
1st Qu.:61.5 1st Qu.:124.5
Median :65.0 Median :135.0
Mean :65.0 Mean :136.7
3rd Qu.:68.5 3rd Qu.:148.0
Max. :72.0 Max. :164.0

Short summary of the table.

The mean and median of height variable are same – 65.0 The range of height variable i.e max(height)-min(height) is 14. The inline code for computing range is r72.0-58.0 (with space between r and 72.0). Mean of weight variable is greater than its median.

3. Including a Simple Plot

plot(women)
