Hello! My name is Theresa Hutchins (she/her). I am a senior computational biology major, and I thoroughly enjoy studying genomics. A popular tool used in my major is R, which is how I am publishing this post. It has many tools useful in statistical analysis of data and presentation of data. I figured I’d employ this software as it’s something I spend a lot of time using!

Here are some of my favorite activities!

## [1] "guitar"
## [2] "listening to music"
## [3] "playing with my dog"
## [4] "playing apex legends"
## [5] "hanging outdoors"
## [6] "reading"
## [7] "aimlessly driving around"
## [8] "hanging with friends (not so much now because of the pandemic)"
## [9] "skiing and snowboarding"
## [10] "painting and drawing"
## [11] "concerts"

The code used to construct this list is as follows for those interested in how R works if new to the software:

activity <- c(“guitar”, “listening to music”, “playing with my dog”, “playing apex legends”, “hanging outdoors”, “reading”, “aimlessly driving around”, “hanging with friends (not so much now becausec of the pandemic)”, “skiing and snowboarding”, “painting and drawing”, “concerts”) print(activity)

As you can see, making posts and publishing data can be done pretty easily using R! All of the activities I enjoy are stored in the variable “activity” and can be used in a variety of ways. The “c(”guitar“….)” can hold many types of data, including numeric. Here I am clearly using textual data.

It is interesting using this software to introduce myself as opposed to posting data results. Perhaps, if I wanted to share my height over the years with you as a graph I could (but that’s no fun). Unfortunately, I don’t have any numerical data to share about myself.

Anyways,

Here are some of my favorite things!

## [1] "Snoop (my dog)" "Weezer" "Interpol" "Napping"
## [5] "Online Shopping" "Spicy V8 Juice" "tiktok :/" "my guitar"
## [9] "memes" "Dunkin'"

These were printed the same way as my favorite activities were!

This is a simple graph displaying how as time in quarantine increases, the amount of hobbies I endulge in also increases. This is based on data collected from my memory. New hobbies include but are not limited to: painting, journaling, baking, embroidering and crocheting.
