Volunteers are at the centre of the MaM project. A questionnaire has been developed to capture the posts made by Volunteers on their own social media profiles and the engagement they generate. A first pilot was run with the Nigeria country office. Training of the Volunteers took place on the 27th of January, and a first data collection was conducted the next day (28th). This report presents a first analysis of the data collected. A full debrief session will take place on Tuesday the 2d of February.
As a first step, we extract the links and save them in a specific file, stored in this folder:
In total, there were 40 unique links gathered during the pilot, by 6 different ID’s. To simplify the presentation of the results, we abbreviated the ID’s. The table with the real ID’s and their matching abbreviation is presented in annex.
There were a few issues during data entry. Information entered by edomigrantsasmessengers4@gmail.com are extreme values, as summarized in the table below. We can see that he/she entered a number of likes, shares and comments exceeding the billion.

This data has not been considered for the analysis. Therefore, 35 links by 5 IDs will be analyzed below.
The table and graph below summarize the total number of likes shares and comments gathered the 35 links. In the graph, each dot is a link. Likes are measured on the horizontal axis, shares/retweets on the vertical axis. The size of the dots represent the number of comments gathered by the link (the greater the dot, the greater the number of comments).
From this graphical analysis, we can see that MaMvol1 is generating the most comments, while MaMVol3 is generating the most likes.

| nigeria | edoMaM1 | 1 | 16 | 0 | 1 |
| nigeria | edoMaM3 | 8 | 47 | 2 | 37 |

| nigeria | MaMvol2 | 1 | 39 | 0 | 7 |
| nigeria | MaMvol3 | 15 | 414 | 12 | 2 |
A second graphical analysis is to check the distribution of likes, shares and comments per user. This is displayed in the graph below. We can see that several posts have not gathered comments, shares or likes. MamVol1 seems to be the ID whose posts are gathering more engagements, while edoMaM1 and MaMvol2 are not very active.
