Presentation / Implementation
- The teams will each present their data visualization to the class and guests from industry and academia on April 7th, 2021
- Your visualization and presentation should be presented as a professional pitch to the group who assigned the questions
- It should clearly answer the three main questions and interpretations of the results
- Visualizations are expected to be done in Tableau or Javascript
- You will have 15 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes for questions
Things to Remember
- Know your goal - Who is your target audience? What is your visualization’s intended meaning?
- Use the right data - Sometimes less is more, sometimes less is really less.
- Design for aesthetics - Your visualization should be both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
- Choose an effective medium and channel - Your software and visualization tools should be chosen to best express your data.
- Check your results - Did you reach the audience? Do you think your audience were interested and reacted the way you intended?
