Task: * Look at the picture and evaluate whether it is the correct type of graph for the data provided.
* ‘Anything wrong?’ If you see an element that could be corrected or improved, name it. * Which graph would fit better? Suggest any improvements and describe them here. * Show it! Use the data and the graph at hand to produce a better graph of the same data. If the source data are not available, you can approximate the numbers. * Submit your answer, including the code and the new graph (as jpg/png) to the Google Form: https://forms.gle/UUnqYy5Lb65KkPeo9

(sorry for the delay… again)

First, pie chart here i unsuitable at all. It was really difficult for me to understant which part defines which cluster, which percentages of sales reflect which cluster especially. That was good that there was a table (table 6 in the article), showing instances in each cluster and giving clear information for the first chart. But as for associated sales - that was very unclear part.

What would I change? First, I would provide a table (like 6th one), repeating the info from the chart is a different format. As for the charts - I would show it as a bar graphs, to avoid this struggle of relating clusters to the parts of these pies (don’t like these “50 shades of grey” games). Also, I’ve placed it vertically one below the other. This way it would easy to compare the shares inside each graph as well as to relate clusters. For example there’s the line in the text - “About 22 per cent of the consumers contributed roughly 60 per cent of the total sales”. It was extremely difficult for me to find the pieces, that gave that information - now that can be seen for 4th and 5th cluaters together - they take big share of sales and small share of customers.
