Hint: What’s the source of the data; what does the row represent; how many observations?; what are the variables; and what do they mean?
The row that is being displayed is all the achievements that every african american that has ever acomplished something big. There is almost 500 entries. The variables are person and gender, the year of the acoomplishment. Each of these variables describe who it was and what exactly they accomplished.
Hint: For example, importing data, understanding the data, data exploration, etc.
Dave was getting most of his data from wikipedia. He started by going onto the page and there is a section on the page called cleaning script. He was then getting a code that would create a table which is a better way to get people’s names and other information about them, As in people’s birth year, death year and their state of orgin as well.
I would say the use of the codes are virtually the same as well with his use of the ggplot system which we ending up using a decent amount, creating histograms and scatterplots.
A major finding that I got out of this analysis was that you can find a lot of information about someone with one code. It is interesting that you are able to find out people’s names birth year, birth place, nationality, what they did for a living. It is kind of wild that you are able to get this information
The most interesting thing that I really really liked out of the whole analysis was just how fast he was able to input information. He aslo did a very good jop on the graphs it was very clean with no mistakes. The graph came out with the timeline of all the african american acomplishments.
