Analysis of NFL Points Scored Per Season Per Team 2000-2019
This data is from NFL Attendance data that I used for my final project. The plot shows a distinct positive correlation between points scored for the team and wins. Since the New England Patriots dominated the league for these two decades, I colored in their seasons as blue, showing how dominant (high level of wins and points for) in all of their season except for 2000.
Looking at this plot alone, it is apparent that a team will win more games if they score more points in the season. It also shows that if a team wins 10 or more games, they will, for the most part, make the playoffs. This is a very telling and interesting plot.
