For my visualization I used the NFL attendance data set see link here NFL Data Sets. The data was collected and comes from Pro Football Reference and collected over the years 2000 to 2019. The data comes as three data sets. Specifically, I used the attendance data table. Using this table I grouped observations by team over the total time period (2000 - 2019) and sent this table to ggplot. I used a boxplot to inspect the data. There are 32 total teams. This is very close to being too many teams to visualize, but I think the boxplots work well for giving good inspection into the data. For the boxplots, I jittered the observations slightly and manipulated the alpha to make it a little easier to inspect. I added a chart title, x-axis title, y-axis title, and rotated the x-axis elements. I then added color to help the observer understand which team they are looking at. Overall, I like this visualization because it gives quick insights to a lot of data (~11,000 observations). For example, a few quick insights:
