The data set consists of 30021 of 18 variables. Two variables are used from the data set āLarge hospitalsā and āMedium hospitalsā from the Peer Group column. After preprocessing the data, and on visual analysis of box plots, it seems as though larger hospitals may have a slightly higher average length of patient stay. It is important to keep in mind that this statistical analysis does not depict or evaluate the patientsā opinions and satisfaction with the services provided.

Column
Histograms for Large and Medium Hosptals which show average length of stay are positively skewed and do not have a normal distribution.Patients and potential patients of hospitals should be confident in the care they receive, and that their discharge from hospital is not delayed.

Q-Q Plot for Large and Medium Hospitals show that both plots follow an āSā shape which indicates non-normality. The outcome of these visualisations shows that, subject to further analysis, Large hospitals have a slightly longer statistically significant mean Average Length of stay.
