Professional Background

While in school, the jobs I had did not apply to analytics, but they were fun and it was nice to earn money throughout college. In the summer of freshman year, I worked as a stadium operations/grounds intern for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers - A minor league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. This was one a hard but rewarding summer. Following that summer, I worked for vineyard vines where I was a sales associate and learned a lot about how to work with customers and promote our company culture. Following my graduation, I began a role with a startup, WeBoro - who have since rebranded to Neuron Education. I have already made a huge impact as we have since shifted our business model from a B2C to a B2B model where we are rolling out a tutoring platform as an HR Health and Wellness benefit. Although my role isn’t heavily in analytics, I have gained a lot of experience in a wide range of business - from hiring and managing other employees, pitching to investors and potential clients, creating sales funnels and marketing schedules, and countless other business-related efforts. I plan to continue full-time after the master’s program to help scale this company into a profitable (and sellable) success.

Experience in R

Throughout undergrad and graduate schooling, the majority of my upper-level analytics classes have used R therefore I have become very comfortable using R to clean, analyze, forecast, and model. Although, I do not know most code off the top of my head, Google is a beautiful thing. I have not had professional experience outside of class in R, but as I am a quick learner, I believe I would manage.

Experience in Other Analytical Tools

I would call myself an expert in Excel, and the following softwares are ones that I have used before and have a basic working knowledge of:
