Hello! My name is Massey, and I’m a graduate student at the University of Cincinnati. I’m expecting to receive my M.S. in Business Analytics by the end of Summer 2021. School is currently taking up most of my time, but when I have free time, I usually spend it watching a movie or rock climbing. I’m also slowly working on starting a YouTubetm channel that aims at helping international students in the US.
After graduating from The Ohio State University, I worked in the university’s international office for a few months before leaving the U.S. to teach English in South Korea. I quickly discovered that I did not enjoy teaching, so after a year and a half, I came back to the U.S. and started advising international students on their visa questions at Ohio State.
I advised international students at the following universities:
The Ohio State University - Student Immigration Coordinator
University of California, Santa Cruz - International Student Advisor & SEVIS Coordinator
Loyola Marymount University - SEVIS Coordinator
I recently quit my job at Loyola Marymount University to put 100% of my focus towards the Business Analytics program at University of Cincinnati. Since I’m doing a career change, this program is a bit challenging, but I’m still trying my hardest in order to succeed.
I started using R for the first time once this program started. It’s my first coding language I’m learning, and I’m enjoying it so far.
I’ve learned the basics of SAS and Excel Solver, and I’m currently learning SQL. I’ll be learning Python next semester as well.
