Test CHW trainee baseline (pre) ability.

• CHW trainee takes written test (similar to the one given to students, but electronic)
• CHW trainee participates in one practice encounter with a “standardized” CM

Conduct CHW training.

• CHW trainee reads/watches resources about COVID19
• CHW trainee reads script to be used when interacting with CMs
• CHW trainee attends live Zoom sessions with trainers

Test CHW trainee post-training (post) ability.

• CHW trainee takes written test (similar to the one given to students, but electronic)

CHWs will follow this procedure with each and every CM (and their family) they contact

First interaction

Each time a CHW interacts with a CM for the first time, they will fill out these fields. Ideally the CHW will be taking notes into this form during the call.

• CM name
• CM phone number
• CM address
• CM other geographic details
• Duration of call
• Phone timestamp verification of duration of call
• Checklist of topics discussed
  • How COVID-19 spreads
  • Mask wearing
  • Hand hygiene
  • Food/nutrition
  • MIS-C
• Questions asked by CM
  • Question 1 and answer provided or not
  • Question 2 and answer provided or not
  • etc..
• Unanswered questions from CM that CHW needs help answering
• Commitments made by CM
  • Masks for self
  • Masks for family members
  • Hand hygiene
  • Looking for symptoms
  • Validating or checking any newly-received COVID-19 information with the CHW or a reputable source
