1 Synopsis

This report will use the analytics data provided by Google analytics for iOS Mobile clients for 6.0 SP3 and 6.0 SP4 version running on iOS8.x.

  1. The parameters used for comparison are the session duration and the total crashes.
  2. The data used was collected from Jan 1, 2015 to March 15, 2015.

This data will allow us to compare the trend in crashes for SP3 and SP4 releases of iOS clients.

2 Analysis

2.1 6.0 SP3

2.1.1 Crash analysis

The summary of crashes for 6.0 SP3 clients can be seen in the following chart ,

** As can be observed in the above chart, the trend line shows that crashes are increasing. **

2.1.2 Duration analysis

The summary of session duration for 6.0 SP3 clients is shown in following chart,

** As can be observed in the above chart, the session duration is decreasing for the month of March**

2.2 6.0 SP4

2.2.1 Crash analysis

The summary of crashes for 6.0 SP4 clients can be seen in the following chart ,

2.2.2 Duration analysis

The summary of session duration for 6.0 SP4 clients is shown in following chart,

3 Results

The summary of crashes for 6.0 clients can be seen in the following chart ,

Based on the analysis, following observations can be made,

  1. The number of crashes in SP3 are increasing even though the session duration is reducing.
  2. The number of crashes in SP4 are decreasing slightly even though the session duration is increasing.
  3. In SP3, number of crashes appear to more when the total session duration for that day was higher. This indicates crashes were increasing with usage increase.
