1.0 Introduction
Airbnb is an excellent example of shared economy where such companies help the microentrepreneurs (hosts) to connect with clients (tourists etc.) to earn extra income on a wide scale. The business has been flourishing well with gradual increase in penetration across the 5 regions in Singapore. The intent of this report is to help guests deep dive into the street level details around the AirBnb properties available across Singapore.
2.0 Major data and design challenges
The dataset has been downloaded from AirBnb website and poses a few issues as listed below * The dataset contains a lot of redundant columns which are not of much help while preparing the report * The dataset also has a lot of missing values for many columns which renders those columns redundant for the analysis
Design Challenges * The dataset contains longitude and latitude data which needs to be effectively utilized to create accurate location points on a map graph * For the benefit of the customer to easily find properties spread across entire Singapore, the map graph has to be interactive and at the same time not very cluttered
3.0 Solutionto data and design challenges listed above
Redundant columns - Basis the business understanding and looking at some of the stats, the dataset has been reduced to just 27 columns
Also, columns with majority missing values have been removed while the rows with missing values for important columns have been eliminated while preparing the charts
Interactive charts will be prepared using R libraries to provide interaction as well as clarity in seeking information by the customer

It is quite evident that properties are spread across Singapore however more are clustered in the central region as there are more tourist places and official complexes.
Comparatively lesser number of hosts are super hosts and majority are not tagged as super host
Major room types are entire property followed by individual rooms across the 5 regions in Singapore
