1 Active communities have been defined as follows:

For Goverment Partnership programs, this is defined as no. of schools and for Direct programs this is defined as number of villages

For Elementary, this is the number of schools/villages having at least one active volunteer. For Early Years, this is defined as schools/villages where mother have been engaged via SMS or Whatsapp

5 Village Profile

5.1 A look at our indicators

We observe the following about Village Profile indicators:

  • No. of volunteers with regular phones per unit(~7.1) is similar to number of Volunteers with WhatsApp phones per unit(~7.4)
  • ~96% villages have at least one active volunteer
  • Village Pradhan is aware of activities being conducted in ~74% villages

We observe the following in the trend of type of volunteer phone per unit:

  • No. of volunteers with regular phones per unit is slightly lower than No. of volunteers with Whatsapp Enabled Phones per unit from Week 3 to Week 9
  • No. of volunteers with Whatsapp enabled phones per unit gradually increases from ~4.1 in Week 2 to ~6.8 in Week 10
  • No. of volunteers with regular phones per unit gradually increases from ~4.1 in Week 2 to ~6.6 in Week 9

6 Early Years

6.1 A look at our indicators

We observe the following about the indicators related to Early Years:

  • Median number of SMS Sent per unit(4.5) is slightly lower than median number of Whatsapp sent per unit(5.25)
  • ~5.6 Feedback calls were made per unit
  • Response rate is ~75% i.e. Positive responses were received to ~75% of feedback calls; Interquartile range for Response rate is narrow indicating that response rate does not vary much over time

  • Number of SMS sent per unit increases slightly over time from ~4.25 on April 20 to ~4.8 on June 17
  • Number of WhatsApp sent per unit increases slightly over time from ~4.1 on April 20 to ~5.5 on June 20

6.3.1 Response Rate

  • Response rate has a fluctuating trend but has decreased slightly overall from 75.1% on April 20 to 72.9% on June 20
  • Reponse Rate appears to spike on a few Saturdays

Median response rate is slightly higher on Saturday(76.4%) as compared to other days of the week

7.1 A look at our indicators

Positive Responses to SMS per unit increases slightly from 2.9 on April 20 to 3.7 on June 20

  • Positive responses to WhatsApp per unit exhibits a zig-zag trend
  • Positive Responses to WhatsApp per unit increases slightly from 2.3 on April 20 to 3.3 on June 20
