Surrounding community and York University staff and students
For this short summary I’ve used data from the PHE Gov’t site (experimental release of new service found here: https://coronavirus-staging.data.gov.uk/) and information from the site, https://coronavirus.york.ac.uk/.
I’ve used the data that was available from October 5th 2020 to December 12th 2020.
From the Figure below the plot in the left-hand corner represents data for the community of Fulford, Heslington and York University. The data (PHE) for each point denotes the 7-day-case count for the week ending on the specific date on the x-axis.
For the plot on the right, the data represents the number of York University students and staff who tested positive and, also, are self isolating on the specific date on the x axis.
It is important to contextualize these graphical depictions with the number of tests conducted during the reporting timeframes.
Note that for the University data, numbers for Saturday and Sunday were not available.
