30 dyad range: 1-148

Distinguishability

It is clear that the dyads are distinguishable, and we may use variable t0_func for this.

Missing data

The values -999, -998, -997 and -990 do not appear in data. However, there are many missing data values on the ct_ variables

E.g., within the first dyad, only the first teacher has missing data. Not sure if there are ways to handle this, but for now remove all dyads with missing data. Complete cases in data set:

## Mode FALSE TRUE
## logical 17 279

This leaves us with 134 complete dyads.

What kind of variables do we have?

There are only three variables, t3_va_wr_cm, t3_va_rc_cm, t3_va_c_cm that are constant within dyads. These are the so-called between-dyad variables. The rest of the variables t3_ct1, t3_ct2 and so forth, vary within the dyads and across dyads, and are called mixed variables.

A look at the three between-dyad variables

Jittered scatter plots for the mixed variables

Looking at the gap EXTRA - MAIN

Here are boxplots of difference Extra-Main for each of the mixed variables. For all mixed variables, the median difference is zero.

We might try to inspect how EXTRA-MAIN is relates to the third value-added variable. We see that overall, there is no clear relationship between EXTRA-MAIN and value added.
