Q1 What is the title of the screencast?

Tidy Tuesday screencast: analyzing Bob Ross paintings in R

Q2 When was it published?

This screencast was published on August 12th 2019.

Q3 Describe the data

Hint: What’s the source of the data; what does the row represent; how many observations?; what are the variables; and what do they mean?

This data is from the tidy tuesday project. Which is a weekly data project in R from the R4DS online learning community. During the week this screencast was made it was Bob Ross paintings. The row represents the binary presence of the element in the painting. There were 66 observations with variable like tree, clouds, mountain, lake, ect. These variables mean how often they showed up in a Bob Ross painting throught his 403 episodes of his tv show.

Q4-Q5 Describe how Dave approached the analysis each step.

Hint: For example, importing data, understanding the data, data exploration, etc.

Bob Ross has alot of paintings of forests and landscapes. Because of this after he loaded the data into R he used a janitor function to clean and orgonise the data. He then started asking questions like “what are the most crowded paintings” and “How have Ross’s paintings been changing overtime”. Asking questions like these alowed him yo explore the data. One way he explored the data was by looking at how many elements were in each season of the TV show.

Q6 Did you see anything in the video that you learned in class? Describe.

Some things that I saw that I have learned in class is that David is really good at naming things to keep track of them. He did this by naming certin things like by_season_element and bob_ross_gathered.

Q7 What is a major finding from the analysis.

A major finding from this analysis is the ocean and waves are almost allways together, Snow and winter are always together, beach and waves are always together, whenever their is a person there is almost always also a fire.

Q8 What is the most interesting thing you really liked about the analysis.

After watching this screen cast one thing that stood out to me as very intersting is how much can be done with R markdown. Although I do feel I can use R markdown pretty well, David Robinson is a true master and can manipulate data extreamly well. I can now see how R markdown is truely a great resource what looking at a data set.

Q9 Display the title and your name correctly at the top of the webpage.

Q10 Use the correct slug.
