This diagram combines power (to weight) curves from the Cycling Analytics blog and linear models that describe the decline in power with age from Brown et al., 2007 for riders in the 5th, 60th, and 95th percentile of a population of cyclists the use Cycling Analytics. “Pat” is a 51 year old who can sustain an average of 256 watts for 20 minutes while weighing 93 kg (watts/kg= 2.75). This performance is just above the surface for the 60th percentile (p62.5).
