Intro

For a long time police around the country have had a bad reputation with abusing their power. This does not exclude Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). One way police are abusing their power is by being quick at shooting people. There has been problems with police offices, who classify themselves as White, shooting people, who classify themselves as Black. There has been a problem with African Americans having a higher percentage of getting shot by police officers. The problem has been so rampant that organization like black lives matter have been created to deal with this issue.

The problem has been so rampant that body cameras have been introduce to police officers so they can be accountable for their actions. There has been incidents where the suspect have been beat up and the police have said it was for self defense. The same self defense justification has been use in the shootings of many civilians.
