Introduction

Develop a shinyapps.io app that allows a user to explore the USArrests dataset. The US Arrest dataset contains statistics, in arrests per 100,000 residents for assault, murder, and rape in each of the 50 US states in 1973.

Enhance the dataset by grouping the states into regions and divisions which may give greater insight on the data.

Results are displayed in three tabs.

  • The plot tab displays a scatterplot matrix which is good for determining rough linear correlations of metadata that contain continuous variables.
  • The table tab contains the data used in the analysis.
  • The summary tab contains summary statistics for selected states.
