RailTrail.hightemp and cloudcover is quite small. Would you be sure that the two variables are not related at all?The data set is from a case-control study of smoking and Alzheimer’s disease. The data set has two variables of main interest:
smoking a factor with four levels “None”, “<10”, “10-20”, and “>20” (cigarettes per day)disease a factor with three levels “Alzheimer”, “Other dementias”, and “Other diagnoses”.The largest group that has other dementias are the non-smokers that smoke zero cigarettes per day.
The group that has more cases than expected given by chance are those who smoke more tha 20 cigarrettes a day.
Smoking does not seem to matter in dtermining other dementias, this can be seen with the masaic chart because the biggest group the has other dementia’s is also the group the smokes zero cigarettes a day.
RailTrail.Hint: The RailTrail data set is from the mosaicData package.
All four variables that have negative correlation are precipitation, cloud cover, spring and fall.
According to the data fall has the largest negative correlation compared to the other variables, this makes it seem like the least popular season for trail users.
