Academic Background

Professional Background

After my under-graduation from Gujarat Technological University I started working as an Associate Software Engineer at Accenture, India (https://www.accenture.com/in-en) Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) vertical. I was primarily involved in End-to-End Software testing and quality assurance in my first project. After a year, I was promoted to Application Development Analyst where my role changed and focused more on Test Design Analysis, Stakeholder Management, Scrum, planning and estimating test coverage, writing test cases and managing user stories and defects. Almost after 2.5 years, I moved to Cincinnati to puruse Masters and I’m currently a Gradaute Teaching Assistant at the LCB OBAIS Department where I take couple of in-person classes for under-graduate students in Digital Technologies in Business (IS 2080).

Experience in R

Data field was completely new to me and it was for the first time that I was exposed to analytics programming languages like R, Python, SAS when I started coursework at UC. Since our coursework at UC has always been in R, I’m more comfortable working in R for data cleaning, manipulation, EDA, supervised learning, and visualization. Particularly, I find the language very easy and flexible to use. 7 months using R, I still consider my knowledge in R as basic.

Experience with other Analytic Software

For the data analysis and modeling part R is on the top of my list. Apart from R, there are few other languages and tools that I have used for analysis, modeling and visualization which are as below:

  • Python
  • SAS
  • Tableau
  • Excel Analysis ToolPak
