Who is Yao Lin?

Hello! I’m Yao, a master student from the program of Business Analytics at University of Cincinnati. I was a financial analyst in one of the biggest banks in China. I went back to academy in 2019 to prepare myself to be a better data analyst. I am now actively looking for an internship opportunity.

Professional Background

I started my banking career as a bank teller at QuanZhou bank after graduating from HuaQiao University, I worked there for one year before I pursuing my first M.S.degree. I joined Agricultural Bank of China as a financial analyst, which my responsibilities were:

• Reviewed and Prepared financial statements on quarterly and yearly basis
• Performed financial data processing
• Interpreted trends and patterns using financial data
• helped provide insights to customers
• worked with other departments to prioritize business and information needs

after 4 years, I resigned and moved to the United States with my family, I worked as an analyst at Express to China Blueash, OH. My responsibilites were:

• processed billing/invoices
• collected transactional data from clients
• Prepared and post general ledger journal entries of the company to support accurate financial activity records.

Experience in R

I have been using R for three months. In my master program, I rely on R to complete assignments,such as statistical modeling, data mining. It has been my preferred language recently.

I used Excel in my career as an analyst before R. I got the Certificate in MOS2016-Excel years ago. I also use:
