Hello, my name is Vinishruth, but you can call me Vinni. I was born and raised in India. I’m a graduate student in the MS Information Systems program at the University of Cincinnati. I like to play soccer and video games. I’m a big movie buff too. I love to travel. Visiting new places, meeting new people and getting to know about their culture interests me a lot.
I worked as a Software Analyst at Hexagon AB in the PPM division, for close to 3 years. Initially I used to work on my company’s 3D designing software to design oil extraction plants and ships for our clients. After a couple of years I was assigned the task to write code in the .NET framework in the process of customizing our products for our clients, according to their specifications. I used to interact with the client and understanding their requirements on a regular basis and gave them weekly presentations about the progress of the project. I also worked with Databases while migrating the data from one DB to another for my client. I would like to pursue my career in the field of Data Analytics after my graduation at UC. I hope to achieve this over the next few years.
I’ve no prior experience with R before starting here at UC. I first wrote code in R in October 2019 for a Statistical Computing class assignment. Ever since then I like to write code in R. I took a course called Data Analysis Methods in January 2020 to improve my skills and gained more knowledge in R. I have done multiple assignments and academic projects on R so far. I would really like to learn a lot more, thats the reason I’ve taken the Data Wrangling with R course.
I’ve used and am familiar with the following analytic softwares:
