Overview

This document contains an analysis of regional data for AICCU, CSU, and UC schools. Previous AICCU Handouts by Region can be found here: https://www.aiccu.edu/factsheets/.

Note: these datasets were pulled by Randy in early March 2019. It is largely taken from the same pulls as the factsheet datasets.

Data Sources

Data sources for the following tables can be found here:

  • College Insight - for student debt data.

  • California Student Aid Commission - 2018-19 CalGrant data. We only currently have access to AICCU’s data.

  • IPEDS - for all other information. Note that this is taken from the non-public 2018-19 12-month enrollment data and as such, will not reflect what is currently shown on the IPEDS website. Will be updated accordingly.

III. Undergraduate Enrollment (2018-19 12-month headcount) (Table 2)

IV. Total Graduate enrollment (2018-19 12-month headcount) (Table 3)

V. Average Student/Faculty Ratio (Table 4)

VI. Diversity of Undergraduate Enrollment (Table 5)

VII. Average 4 and 6-year Graduation Rates (Table 6)

3/5/20 Note: Excluded Southern California Institute for Architecture from 4 and 6 year averages due to their 0% graduation rate in 4 years. This is likely due to specialized programs that would put it out of sync with other institutions. Note that as this is earlier than previous years, some institutions aren’t reporting their graduation rates yet. This is reflective of AICCU’s factsheets, created in February 2020.

q

VIII. Total Cal Grant Student Awardees/Dollars (Table 7)

IX. Average debt of graduates (Table 8)

Note: this pulls data from College Insight. Around half of AICCU institutions have debt information in the Insight document, meaning that average debt may be over/under estimated. See the total number of institutions that reported debt data in the section above

X. Average Percentage of Students with Debt (Table 9)
