This presentation renders an interactive chart displaying the five most popular cat names in the city of Toronto from 2012 to 2017. It was created using the Licensed Dog and Cat Names dataset obtained through the City of Toronto’s Open Data Portal on March 5, 2020 (last refreshed: September 30, 2018).

The chart was created using the Plotly package in R. The chart allows you to roll over particular data points to see the precise numbers of cats with that name in that year.
