The bar graph below displays how many pitchers match each category in terms of batters faced. We made the bars purple to make the graph more fun.

This graph is demonstrating a poor representation of the showing the data for hall of fame pitchers. Scatterplot is not a good representation since it is a categorical data set. There will not be more than one data point per category.
