Official 2018 Southeast Region Refuge and Hatchery iNaturalist Bioblitz results were announced by USFWS Regional Director Leopold Miranda in February 2019.

Compared to the same time period in 2017:

> 69% increase in observations

> 52% increase in observations identified to species

> 51% increase in unique species observed

> 8% decrease in unique contributors (interesting!)

> 9% increase in contributors making ≥5 observations

7% increase in number of participating refuges
