Profile

I am a PhD statistician passionate about data science and biostatistics research, as well as teaching and mentoring. I am currently employed as an assistant professor of biostatistics at Florida International University’s Stempel College of Public Health. I previously was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center with teaching duties in the Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Public Health Sciences. My research in statistical learning and computational statistics is fulfilling, and I enjoy the challenge of writing beautiful code. I want my passion for accurate statistical analyses to spur my students to become better scientists and better people. Overall, I strive to become a better steward of my discipline.
