Notes

Purpose of Map:

1. To provide locations of Local Public Health Units (LPHUs) in North Dakota in reference to North Dakota State Parks locations.
2. To allow for collaboration between LPHUs (including their satellite units) and State Parks for use state parks that are within a 50-mile distance.

Note: A 50-mile radius buffer is calculated around each state park location based on NAD 1983 StatePlane North Dakota South FIPS 3302 projected coordinate system (and may not represent true or “actual” driving distances).

How to Use Map:

* Click on the map “icons” to display more information.

* Hover over the map to highlight and display more information.

* Toggle “on” and “off” the boxes to reveal auxillary information or use the “radio buttons” to switch between “County” and “Population” layers in the legend to reveal more information on the map.

* Zoom in and out using “+” or “-” buttons at the top left of map, or by pressing and holding the “CNTRL” key and scrolling the wheel on your mouse up or down.


How to Use Table:

* Scroll or search through table for “Unit Name,” “Address,” “Contact Name,” “Email,” “Telephone,” “LPHU to Report to.”

* Reorder the table listings using the “bidirectional arrows” next to each table headings.


Data Sources:

* Population counts are per U.S. Census, 2010.

* LPHU and Satellite Unit information is as per ND Department of Health, November, 2019.
