Hello, I am Sumukh Purohit, an analytics enthusiast and a graduate student studying Business Analytics at the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business. Before joining grad school, I worked as Business Analyst at ZS Associates providing end to end consulting for sales promotion strategies for pharmaceutical companies.

Professional Background

I started my professional career with Siemens Limited as an Electrical Engineer. At Siemens, I did projects to operationalize the manufacturing process and improve the processing time using the data analysis. After Siemens, I joined ZS Associate as Business Analyst.

At ZS, I designed and rolled out the call plan to the sales representatives of pharmaceutical companies and delivered the insights on the sales field to the client leadership. The call plan consists of a detailed resource allocation plan for each representative including the list of target customers, number of visits to target customers in a given time period and list of products which are discussed/promoted during a visit along with the priority order of their discussion.

My professional experience brought me to realize the satisfaction in investigating something so seemingly raw and indecipherable, and transforming it into volumes of coherent insights. To further nurture this passion, I decided to explore the field of analytics and joined the Masters in Business Analytics Program at the University of Cincinnati.

Experience in R

I have limited experience in R. I have used it for exploratory data analysis and solving statistics problem in my statistical methods course.
