RailTrail.The data set is from a case-control study of smoking and Alzheimer’s disease. The data set has two variables of main interest:
smoking a factor with four levels “None”, “<10”, “10-20”, and “>20” (cigarettes per day)disease a factor with three levels “Alzheimer”, “Other dementias”, and “Other diagnoses”.The largest group of people that have Alzheimers is those individuals that do not smoke any cigarettes.
The group of people the have more cases than given independance is other dimensias that smoke more then 20 cigaretts per day.
No because the most cases of alzheimers people do not smoke cigaretts, but those who do smoke cigaretts can also get alzheimers.
RailTrail.Hint: The RailTrail data set is from the mosaicData package.
## Q5 What variables have positve correlation with the number of trail users (volume)?
The variables that have positive correlation with the number of trail users are hightemp, avgtemp, lowtemp, and summer
## Q6 What season seems to be most popular for trail users?
the season that seems to be most popular for trail users is summer because that season has the highest volume
## Q7 The correlation coefficient between `hightemp` and `cloudcover` is quite small. Would you be sure that the two variables are not related at all? Create scatter plot. After examing the scatter plot, would you conclude that the two variables are not related at all?
```
It is very tricky to say that there is no relationship at all between hightemp and cloudcover bacause even though there is little to no coorelation based on the scatterplot there is always a chance that there is the tinyest of relationships. Based on the scatterplot I would say that there is little to no coorelation between hightemp and cloudcover
Hint: Discuss your reason by explaining your scatter plot.
