RailTrail.hightemp and cloudcover is quite small. Would you be sure that the two variables are not related at all? Create scatter plot. After examing the scatter plot, would you conclude that the two variables are not related at all?The data set is from a case-control study of smoking and Alzheimer’s disease. The data set has two variables of main interest:
smoking a factor with four levels “None”, “<10”, “10-20”, and “>20” (cigarettes per day)disease a factor with three levels “Alzheimer”, “Other dementias”, and “Other diagnoses”.People who don’t smoke at all are the largest group of people that has Alzheimers.
One group tha has more cases than they thought given by chance was the dementias because they smoke around 20 cigarettes a day.
Smoking does not have a great signifcance when it comes to having alzheimers. More people who do not smoke have alzheimers that people who do smoke.
RailTrail.Hint: The RailTrail data set is from the mosaicData package.
The variables that have positive correlation with the number of trail users would be high temperature, low temperature, average temperature and summer.
The season that seems to be most popular for trail users would be summer because it is higher than the fall temperature which is in the negatives.
