Introduction

It is required to scrape a job-board website to extract the most required skills for Data Scientist. I decided to scrape ai-jobs which is a job board that specifically serves the artificial intelligence (AI) and data science community. Whether you’re looking for something permanent or a contract role, there’s an option for everyone. The jobs listed on the website can also be found on their

Convert javascript rendered HTML into HTML only

ai-jobs uses javascript language to render the HTML page using asynchronous request. If you use an asynchronous XMLHttpRequest, you receive a callback when the data has been received. This lets the browser continue to work as normal while your request is being handled.

rvest and httr doesn’t work for that site, so I had to write javascript code insode of R to be able to scrape the page.I wrote the JavaScript code to a js file called scrape.js using Phantomjs..I used PhantomJS to convert the website into HTML. I wrapped this in a system() call inside R Studio.

Pulling down the data

I constructed a matrix as a data frame structured in 5 columns to hold the pulled data.

PhD – Bayesian Inference with GANsRobert Bosch Robert Bosch Renningen, Germany https://ai-jobs.net/job/phd-bayesian-inference-with-gans/ Company DescriptionDo you want beneficial technologies being shaped by your ideas? Whether in the areas of mobility solutions, consumer goods, industrial technology or energy and building technology – with us, you will have the chance to improve quality of life all across the globe. Welcome to Bosch. The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application!Job DescriptionGenerative Adversarial Nets (GANs) are the state-of-the-art of unsupervised learning. They owe their success to their genuine game-theoretic learning principle, which yields a powerful tool to formulate complicated learning tasks in an intuitively simple way. Differently from the orthodox learning approaches, it is not straightforward, if possible at all, to express the eventual task the GAN learns as a loss function. Hence, it is equally difficult to derive Bayesian variants to draw probabilistic conclusions. This PhD project aims to develop novel GAN variants with Bayesian inference capabilities such as expressing arbitrarily complex data sets with probability densities, enabling access to the latent manifold on out-of-sample observations, and quantifying the model fit. During your PhD you will be part of an academically active machine learning basic research team at the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence (BCAI, www.bosch-ai.com).                              Help shape the future: You are responsible for the creative and pro-active development of new theoretical machine learning concepts and algorithms that enable Bayesian inference with GANs.                                                                   Take responsibility: Prototypical algorithm implementations and benchmarking on real-world data sets will be part of your PhD thesis.                                       Reliable implementation: You publish your results in top-tier conferences (ICML, NeurIPS, AISTATS, UAI, etc.) and journals (JMLR, PAMI, etc.).                     Experience cooperation: Your tasks will include literature screening and building close contact with the academic community.                     Networked communication: Right from day one you participate to the academic interactions within the BCAI research team.QualificationsEducation: Degree (master) in machine learning, mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science or related fields with excellent gradesPersonality: Intrinsic motivation for top-level research and scientific independenceExperience and Knowledge: Excellent theoretical skills proven by top course grades, general knowledge of machine learning, prior experience on scientific writing and prior knowledge on Bayesian inference is a plusLanguages: Fluent in English written and spokenAdditional InformationThe final Phd topic is subject to your university.Duration: 3 years

Removing common word endings (e.g., “ing”, “es”, “s”) This is referred to as “stemming” documents. We stem the documents so that a word will be recognizable to the computer, despite whether or not it may have a variety of possible endings in the original text.

Note: The “stem completion” function is currently problemmatic, and stemmed words are often annoying to read. For now, I have this section commented out. But you are welcome to try these functions (by removing the hashmark from the beginning of the line) if they interest you. Just don’t expect them to operate smoothly.

This procedure has been a little hanky in the recent past, so I change the name of the data object when I do this to keep from overwriting what I have done to this point.
