The PCA packages don’t seem to work as well with tibbles (no obervation names). First let’s make a tibble from mtcars keeping the rownames

We would need to convert this data to a df. as_data_frame would not add rownames - but column_to_rownames converts the tibble to a dataframe while converting the first column to a rowname
