Below shows a scatter plot of rushing attempts and rushing yards over the 2016 through 2018 season for all running backs and running backs that have rushed for at least 1000 yards.

Below shows a scatter plot of red zone rushing attempts and rushing touchdowns as well as a table of the 10 running backs who have the lowest rushes per touchdown.

Based off of the table above it appears that Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints has had the most efficent seasons in terms of touchdown productivity, and he slightly improved from 2017 to 2018.

As you can see in the figures above although Alvin Kamara’s rushing yards efficiency went down from his rookie season to his second year his touchdown efficiency went up and his overall involement in the offense went up.
