R Markdown

Since you will be using R Markdown (more on that during recitation), you will need to download the following package, please follow the following steps to do so:

Disclaimer: In case you already have LaTeX on your laptop you can ignore this part

  1. Type the following on the console (bottom left screen, you should see a small “>”, type next to it)
install.packages("tinytex")
tinytex::install_tinytex()
  1. Once you have it downloaded, you will not need to open it during any of our sessions. It works at the back while you work with R Markdown.

  2. You’re all set!! :)
