1. Summary

1. Context

In the context of the CSV monitoring Plan on the implementation of CSA practices developed by CCAFS, 453 farmers (227 women and 226 men) belonging to 342 households, distributed in 7 communities were surveyed, of which 107 were young between 13 and 30 years old of age (65 women and 42 men), on average we found 5 farmers per household and the average age of the respondents is 42.5 years old, 39.9 years in women and 45.2 years for men).

Note

The calculations at the level of Household reflect the responses of the Household head in all Sections except section 4 on Food Security.

Indeed Food Security indicators at HH level were calculated based on the response of the Woman of the household. If for any reason a women could not be surveyed in a hh, then this hh is not considered in the analysis.

Adopting Households are defined as households where any of the members responded Yes to the question: “During the last 12 months, were [CSA practice X] implemented in your household/farm?”

Non-Adopting Households are defined as households where all the members surveyed responded NO to the question: “During the last 12 months, were [CSA practice X] implemented in your household/farm?”
