Some of these questions I found potentially conditional, while I am Liberal, I do find some liberals annoying as well, I believe both sides find their point of views justified, both groups can act violently towards others based on stereotypes. My reasoning for being against Trump Supporters, is because I often find those groups actively seeking to harass others for instance: people simply conducting harmless cultural activities but then getting harassed in public and made fun of for it by people wearing “Make America Great Again” hats, however, I can still be friends with a conservative, but I often find those who support Trump annoying. The Trump supporters I often meet refute new information or opposing information and/or find them to be harassers of other cultures, but I do know that people with similar political ideologies to mine to be harassers of cis-gendered white men and police officers, and can also often refute opposing information and deem Trump Supporter’s as dumb.

I think that the USA needs stricter gun laws in some areas. Because the fact that a teenager in high school is able to buy a gun or automatic weapon before they can even purchase alcohol is outrageous. I think that some people in America believe that people are trying to take away their guns, and in some case there are individuals that believe guns should be banned. And I don’t agree with banning all guns by any means, because people need to be able to protect themselves and their families. But their should be stricter rules to who can and who can’t buy guns. America is the only country where there has been hundreds of mass murders, for instance, Sandy Hook, Columbine, and recently in El Paso. In my opinion, there should definitely be an age limit (maybe 21 or older), and people who are mentally ill should not be able to access guns.

Hi, I believe that the deportation of illegal immigrants may be gone about in the wrong way. If you feel like illegal immigrants need to be deported I personally think that there is a different way to handle the situation. I think everyone fails to realize that no matter what people have lives and a lot going on like families and children how are you just gonna take a child’s parents away and essentially leave them orphaned?
In my opinion, late term abortions should be illegal and punished by law. If the child has a heartbeat then he or she has every chance to become a functioning human being and we as a human kind should not have the right to take that away.
I feel that late-term abortions should be illegal because the baby has a heartbeat and can survive outside of the womb so it is no different than killing any other person, a mother, father, or teenager. Any other person.
Different perspectives on why stricter gun control laws may not be the right course of action include: concern of the individuals mental health instead of restricting all gun control, concern that stricter gun laws won’t stop bad people from getting guns, and guns don’t kill people - people kill people
Universal Health Care is a great concept in theory. On the surface level everyone would have health insurance however taxes would increase. In my opinion, with an increase in taxes there would need to be an increase in wages. In addition there are many issues that would have to be addresses before considering implementing a universal health care system.
When it comes to gun laws specifically the new “red flag laws” I believe it is very important to read what that law actually means. I have read this new law that has been passed in every state and some people believe that the government is trying to take away an individuals right to bare arms. My personal stance on the subject is that an individual should have the right to bare arms but this does not mean with out due process. Without due process to obtain a concealed carry license we might have unstable individuals commit mass shootings.
If people who come into this country “illegally” are not bothering you, why would you want them to leave so badly?

The deportation of illegal immigrants is an issue that effects people beyond what most can understand. Even in the least aggressive of ways, without being kept in cages, separated from families, or left to defend themselves in a language they don’t thoroughly understand, people who experience deportation are mostly experiencing it due to insensitivity. The vast major of illegal immigrants arrive in the US legally, and overstay their permitted timeframe. The majority are not criminals. They are your friends, neighbors, classmates, coworkers. The process of becoming a citizen is one that even in the best case scenarios, can take a very long time. And for most people, it takes years. The lack of understanding of the citizenship process is one that causes many immigrants to not being it at all, or struggle the entire way. This same lack of understanding is what makes many Americans believe that it is unfair for those who do not go through it or were lucky enough to be born in the US to be able to stay in this country.
I believe we should have universal healthcare in the country since other countries have it. Healthcare should be more accessible to everyone, especially those who need it.
I believe deportation should not be done. They tend to deport everyone who comes into this country illegally and most of them do no harm. I believe if you have a bad record then it should may be considered. But even then some immigrants make mistakes or happen to be at the wrong place, at the wrong time. People come here for a better lifestyle than what there is to be offered back home.
Most liberals say that we shouldn’t have guns at all in the country and they are looking to make guns illegal. Look, I don’t believe in stricter gun control. Not to the point where we just hand them all over to the government because later, just like what the British have done to the American colonies, the government will use these guns against us and we will not be able to defend ourselves. The Second Amendment of our Constitution says that we have the ‘right to bear arms’. I believe that we have a right to defend ourselves and that should not be taken away from us. Although, if there’s going to be constant shootings at schools, I suggest that they should put the guy in jail rather than take away our guns. It’s not the guns that are killing people…think about it, it’s the bad people who uses the guns to kill the people with it.
I myself don’t fully understand the situation other than people are upset they’re coming here illegally without having to pay taxes. Here’s the thing though: they’re not coming here just to avoid taxes and “steal our jobs”. First off, they take the jobs that we Americans would deem too “low-class” such as janitors and trash collectors and farmers. Second, most if not all illegal immigrants cme over here to get a better life and get away from life threatening lissues such as war, abuse, poverty, corrupt government, gang violence, etc. I think they have the right to be here just as much as anyone else. If we Americans can have the priviledge of traveling to different countries for leisure and adventure, I think illegal immigrants have the right to go to a country to actually achieve a safe and hard working life for themselves and their family. In addition, these are people who are still trying to get their green card even if they’re there illegally. They ARE trying to become citizens but it takes YEARS for documentations to go through and be accepted.

Hi there - I’ve found looking at examples from other countries instructive here. Everywhere else that restricted gun access after a mass shooting event hasn’t seemed to have a repeat.
When a mother runs the risk of death from having a child, some feel that it would be better if the mother went through the abortion to preserve her life or if circumstances change for them and they can no longer provide for the child, or if the child would be killed in the process of birth, or if the mother didn’t have the financial support or any support previously to get an abortion, however, other’s feel that it is essentially murder because of how developed it is since the child would be halfway till being born. You should also consider the feelings of the doctors who have to carry through the procedure, having no choice but to go through with giving the abortion regardless if they are pro-choice or pro-life.
Hello, I feel that universal health care would be a good idea because it is important for everyone to have access to healthcare, whether they are from a fortunate family or not. This is also very important for children and teenagers who cannot control the situation their families are in. Although I don’t really have that strong of an opinion on it because I have not read the document regarding universal health care.
In my opinion stricter gun control laws are necessary because if anyone is able to purchase a gun then more violent crimes will be committed with guns. I firmly believe that people should have to pass a background check and go through a mental health evaluation by a trained professional before being allowed to purchase, own, and operate a gun. I also believe that people who purchase guns should be required to take a mandatory gun safety course where they learn how to properly operate a gun and the consequences for using a gun to commit violent crimes.
The pregnancy is to far along to do an abortion
There should be stricter gun laws in every state in the U.S. because people are getting a hold on guns that should not be, or are not in a healthy mental state to be a gun carrier. There have been numbers of school shootings, and shootings in general in our country the past few years. Guns are so easy to get nowadays, that anybody can get one. People who are unsafe and mentally unstable are getting a hold of these guns much more easily.

Late-term abortions are very traumatic to mothers. At my church there is a support group for mothers who have chosen abortion. Many mothers never forgive themselves for making this selfish act. Couples should always consider the well-being of themselves and not just eliminating their baby.

Having less strict gun control laws would mean a higher percentage of people will have access to a firearm. What this could mean is more people prepared to stop an active shooter. With all the shootings going on in the US, it would actually be beneficial for people to carry in order to stop the threat.
My personal opinion is that you had quite a few options before it got to this point, like not having sex, wearing a condom, birth control, morning after pill and early abortion which I’m not particularly fond of either. The only time I think the option for a late-term abortion is to even be considered is if you was raped, a medical event that puts either you or the child in harm’s way. No matter how you slice it once the sperm becomes a fetus it’s in its development stage but it dose in fact live and abortion is killing it, just a different word to make it not seem so wrong.

The current format of the federal income tax system is adequately structured because the higher rates apply to those individuals/households who are most able to afford it. Unfortunately the current rates within the progressive system, the available deductions and credits, and other federal taxes (ie. capital gains) are not built fairly to relieve the tax burden on those least able to afford it. In addition, the rates are not adequate to raise the revenue required for existing federal programs and projected federal programs. Additional information is available through numerous think thanks, such as the Brookings Institute, Cato Institute, Heritage Foundation, and the Congressional Budget Office.
The guns are not the issue it is the people using the guns, that is where the issue lies. I believe the laws that need to be strengthened are the laws in order to acquire a gun. I do not believe in taking guns away from the public.

I’d like to start off by stating the fact that a women’s body is theirs so therefore they have the right to decide what they do with it. Sometimes it takes women time to decide what they want to do and that’s okay because it’s their body, their decision.
Women should not be told what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. Imagine living in a society where Government officials can come into your home and tell you how to live your life. A place where everyday a law official with no knowledge of your personal being could barge into your home and tell you how to dress, how to act, what to eat, where to go, and what jobs to have. This would be an extreme invasion of our personal freedoms and basic fundamental rights. This is not much different than the courts telling women what they can and cannot do with their bodie, when they cannot even imagine ever having to endure it themselves. This is what women have had to endure throughout history in regards to their reproductive rights. Not being able to control baring a child despite the circumstances will impact every aspect of their lives. For women, having a child changes their ability to get jobs, how they can dress, how they must act, where they can go and when, their mental health, and so much more.

After the supreme court ruling on the Roe v. Wade case in 1973, there was a sharp increase in abortions. Nearly fifty percent of the drop in crime rates starting seventeen years later is attributed this increase in abortions. This is explained to be due to many children who would have committed those crimes never being born, meaning families who did not have the means to support children were no longer raising them in poverty or abuse (Goode, 1999). Having unwanted children results in increased risk of child abuse, lower educational attainment, high risk of physical violence during pregnancy, and reduced rates of breastfeeding and parental bonding. Therefore, children of low-income families or who are subject to abuse often take on a life of drug use, theft, murder, domestic violence or rape because they did not grow up with the equal opportunities needed to provide them with a life of success. Studies show that states that were first to legalize abortion had lower crime rates seventeen years later with decreases in murder by 16.2%, decreases in violent crime by 34.3% and decrease in property crime by 35.5% (Goode, 1999). These statistics can undoubtedly be attributed to the increase in abortion rates because of the time frame of these results being exemplified seventeen years later. The peak ages that an individual will commit a crime is between 17 and 25 years old, so it makes sense that crime rates went down seventeen years after unwanted babies were not born. | |It may take a lot of time to decide whether a person is capable and stable enough to welcome a child into this world. universal health care has its pros and its cons I feel its best to continue to explore both sides of the issue before forming a stance.

With all the shootings that has been happening in the country it would benefit us to have stricter gun control laws. Take Japan for example, their gun control laws are very strict and you rarely hear about any instances involving firearms in the country.

I think that stricter gun laws will prevent many of the heartbreaking tragedies that the news media outlets cover all too often. By enforcing stricter laws we could save lives. Stricter laws, however, doesn’t mean that people’s constitutional rights will be taken away it just means that people will need to prove their intentions to protect society rather than harm it before they are allowed to complete their purchase.
