Topic: Sexual Harassment and Use Of Technology To Reduce Them
For this project ,We have conducted a small survey among the closed group of Girls and asked them several question. Based on their responses here are few of the conclusion we draw out of this research.
First question we asked them was, “Have they ever faced sexual harassment?”.
Dispite carring out our survey among the girls who are in cities area which is supposed to be safe , we can see clearly in bar graph that significant number of girls have said that they had faced some kind of sexual harassment.
Another question we have asked them was, “Do they feel secure in the environment where they are living?”.
No surpries.Many of them don’t feel secure in the society they are living in right now.
Then we asked them, do they want to travel independent?
Although they don’t feel secure in today’s environment, but most of the girls involved in the survey wanted to travel independently
While researching on sexual harassment we found that in other developed country there are technology like gps tracker which send immediate help signal to nearest police station by just clicking a key.
So we wanted to know how many of them have idea of such technology?
While few of them know a little bit of these thing. Many of them are unknown about these things. After delivering a short intro of these technology, we asked them what do they think will this technology could help reducing sexual harassment?
Seeing the responses many of them are quite positive but they are not so confident because the technology is not everything. It could be a medium but help have to be from human side and it is the biggest challenge.
