Earthquake Exploratory and Statistical Analysis

Introduction

  • To Study the behavior of earthquake around the world and perform statistical and exploratory analysis based on data from http://earthquake.usgs.gov
  • Some of the factors will be focused as below
    •       1. What regions have the most earthquakes?
          2. How the trend changes with time?
          3. Earthquake Magnitude and Depth analysis
  • I believe doing this project, may expose some interesting finding on nature disaster and precaution for people to be safe
  • Try to use the maximum knowledge learned on DATA606 Class

    • Data Sources

  • Data will be obtained primarily from http://earthquake.usgs.gov
  • Some of the supporting data will be pulled from Google Cloud or API

    • Data Transformation

  • The entire project will follow the data science workflow, fetching the data, transform the data using function, analyze and generate results

    • Statistical Analysis

  • The Project will analyze the statistics of earthquake will magnitude, depth, time occurred to prove points

    • Graphics

  • Appropriate graphs and datasets will be showed for better readability and understanding of issue analyzed
