Intro
In past decades, Global Warming has been a hot topic and a serious concern for everyone on the planet. So, when focusing on climate change, I have great interest in the temperature and precipatation factors in my local areas. In this project, I gathered data of twenty-year period from 1998 to 2018 in Dallas areas. After accessing data from NOAA, it’s showing that two stations located in DALLAS REDBIRD AIRPORT and DALLAS FAA AIRPORT can provide more complete data than the others and I will choose DALLAS FAA AIRPORT to explore as it’s closer to Dallas city to demonstrate its average temperature, maxmum temperature and precipatation during this 20 years.
Source: NOAA
Conclusion: We can see from these three plots that Dallas area does not experience a huge climate change in recent 20 years. Both plots for average temperature and maximum temperature are very smooth and the precipatation only have been heavier than other years during 2015.Thus, in my local area, the global warming is not a big concern.
