Participants are kindly requested to install the following software. Please download the latest version from the provided URLs
When installing R and RStudio, it is recommended to install R first, and then RStudio. This will ensure that RStudio is set as the default application for all files with the .R ending.
After installing RStudio, you should try to install the BayesFactor and brms R packages, using either the package installer or R syntax:
install.packages("BayesFactor")
install.packages("brms")
For a gentle introduction to using JASP, please read this paper by Marsman and Wagenmakers (2017), and for an introduction to Bayesian inference in psychology, please read the following two-part paper: Part 1 discusses theoretical aspects (Wagenmakers, Marsman, et al. 2018), whereas Part 2 focusses on example applications (Wagenmakers, Love, et al. 2018).
Gronau, Ly, and Wagenmakers (2017) provide a more techjnical exposition of Bayesian t-tests, howver, this is not required reading.
