In my opinion, Myanmar official website focus on the loacl administration purpose. Laos is presenting the tourist information including monthly festivals and events to attract the tours.

The average tourist arrivals to Myanmar is about 3.3 millions a year. It reached above the upper control limit in 2015 when NLP party win in election. Then, declined to the average line in later years.

According to the 2017 Report from Laos, the GDP contribution ranking of Tourism Myanmar is just above the Laos.

According to the 2017 Report, there are 1590 Hotels and 63978 Rooms available to host the guests to Myanmar. Unfortunately, the recent instability in Rakhine Rohingha issues,and the battles in Kachin and Shan States make Myanmar struggled in the tourism sector.
