Transit Dependent Composite Needs

The 2010 Transit Feasibility Study identified areas with the highest density of need. They are Lincoln, Plymouth, Ashland, and Bristol, as well as the NH 25 corridor south of Rumney.

Study Area

The study area is larger than the communities that Transport Central serves. The intent is to provide a broader view of potential areas that it could attract drivers from.

Total Population

Plymouth has the largest population in the region, outside Lebanon and Hanover.

Population of age 55-64

Plymouth and its neighboring towns have thousands of people of age 55-65. They are concentrated in Carroll and Belknap counties.

Population of age 55-64 and unemployed

Plymouth and its neighboring towns have nearly 100 such people. More reside in the Lakes Region.

Considering additional variable, disability

More than 81% of the unemployed New Hampshire residents between the age of 55-64 are estimated to be free of disabilities. The 95% confidence interval shows that the true percentage likely fall in the range of 77% - 85%.
