The University of Liberia customarily administers entrance and placement exams as part of the vetting process of admission. The test is intended to help determine selection of those who are at least capable of doing college course work without further high school preparation.
The exercises leading to this year UL Entrance Examinations started on Monday, February 4, 2019, with the candidates initially going to the designated banks for payment of the registration fees and subsequently proceeding to the Testing Center on Capitol Hill Campus, located in the GH Building (or, Business College) for registration completion.
The total of four thousand, six hundred twenty-six (4,626) candidates completed registration for the Undergraduate Colleges;
Two thousand, six hundred four (2,951 or 63.8%) of them are males while one thousand, four hundred forty (1,675 or 36.2% ) are females;
Only 18.8% of the candidates that completed registration are from Public Schools, 46.0% are from the Private Schools, 32.5% are from the Faith-Based Scholls, 1.3% are from the Company Schools while 1.5% are from the Community Schools.
Of those that completed registration, 80.83% of them are from schools located in Montserrado County; Followed by Margibi(6.16%), Nimba(4.06%), Lofa(2.01%) and Grand Bassa with 1.08% etc.
99.6% of the candidates that completed registration are Liberians while the rest are either Ghanians, Nigerians, Guineans or Sierra Leoneans;
91.3%% of the candidates that completed registration are High School Graduates while the rest are either Current 12th Graders(7.4%) or students from Other Universities(1.3%);
One hundred sixty-three (163) candidates completed registration in the Graduate Programs.
One hundred thirteen (113) candidates completed registration for the College of General Studies;
Detailed summary statistics for the College of General Studies, Professional Schools, and Sinje will be given in our subsequent update.
These findings are based on data already processed by our from February 6, 2019 to March 2, 2019.
Registration is scheduled to end on March 6, 2019.
The Entrance Exams for the Graduate Schools, Professional Schools(Medical and The School of Pharmacy), College of General Studies,and SinJe Technical and Vocational School scheduled on Saturday April 6, 2019.
The Entrance Exams for the Undergraduate Colleges are scheduled for Saturday April 13, 2019.
